Linaclotide is a guanylate cyclase-C agonist peptide studied for gastrointestinal symptoms. Constipation-related conditions, age groups, and bowel-preparation studies are distinct settings and should be interpreted separately.
WPF’s atlas lists work in chronic constipation and pediatric functional constipation, plus trials and reviews of linaclotide as an adjunct in colonoscopy preparation. Bowel-cleansing outcomes do not automatically establish relief of a chronic condition, and subgroup or post hoc findings need their own limits.
