Building a public-interest resource for peptide research and observational knowledge
World Peptide Foundation coordinates two flagship public-interest programs: The Human Peptide Project™ preserves structured, de-identified human experience, while The Living Peptide Record™ organizes living, source-traceable scientific records. The programs are connected while observation and scientific evidence remain visibly and permanently separate.
This naming hierarchy is intentional: World Peptide Foundation names the initiative; The Human Peptide Project™ names the research platform. Neither name represents a product manufacturer, clinical service, medical practice, or substitute for professional medical care.
Mission
To responsibly preserve and organize the world's observational knowledge regarding peptide use while clearly distinguishing observation from scientific evidence.
Vision
WPF is building a uniquely integrated worldwide reference system for peptide research through its two coordinated flagship programs — a permanent public resource designed to remain valuable to researchers, students, clinicians, educators, journalists, policymakers, and the public for generations.
What we do not do

- We do not exist to replace physicians or scientific research.
We exist to preserve observational knowledge responsibly, and to teach people how to interpret that information honestly.
What we organize ourselves around
Observation
Collecting structured observational reports using a transparent, versioned methodology.
Preservation
Protecting those observations for decades — versioning changes, archiving responsibly, and maintaining historical continuity.
Interpretation
Helping readers understand what observations mean: their uncertainty, their limitations, and how to reason about self-reported data generally.
Evidence
Comparing observational patterns with published scientific literature, while keeping the two visibly, permanently separate.
Current governance and planned oversight
Current governance is an explicitly interim, owner-led operating arrangement. No Scientific Advisory Board or Ethics & Privacy Advisory Board is represented as seated. Those bodies are planned, not current. Until qualified members are appointed and publicly disclosed, the platform will not describe their oversight as active.
At the last institutional status review (2026-09-18), external legal review and external ethics review remained pending. See the Governance page for the reviewed institutional status and accountability boundaries.
Scientific and editorial independence
The project's stated independence policy is to protect scientific and editorial work from commercial influence and to disclose material funding and conflicts. At the last institutional status review, the funding disclosure was: No current funding disclosed. No Annual Transparency Report is represented as published. Future funding and material conflicts are intended to be disclosed through the public transparency process.
