# CJC-1295: Engineering a Longer Signal

World Peptide Foundation — Peptides in 2

## Primary research and regulatory sources

1. Jetté L, Léger R, Thibaudeau K, et al. Human growth hormone-releasing factor (hGRF)1-29-albumin bioconjugates activate the GRF receptor on the anterior pituitary in rats: identification of CJC-1295 as a long-lasting GRF analog. Endocrinology. 2005;146:3052–3058. DOI: 10.1210/en.2004-1286. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/15817669/

Supports the ConjuChem, Montreal attribution; named development team; albumin-binding design and preclinical identification. It is preclinical evidence, not a human-outcome study.

2. Teichman SL, Neale A, Lawrence B, Gagnon C, Castaigne JP, Frohman LA. Prolonged stimulation of growth hormone (GH) and insulin-like growth factor I secretion by CJC-1295, a long-acting analog of GH-releasing hormone, in healthy adults. J Clin Endocrinol Metab. 2006;91:799–805. DOI: 10.1210/jc.2005-1536. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/16352683/

Two randomized, placebo-controlled, double-blind ascending-dose trials in healthy adults. Following a single injection, mean GH concentrations increased for at least six days and mean IGF-I concentrations for nine to eleven days. These are biomarker findings; this publication does not establish strength, recovery, fat-loss or longevity outcomes. The investigators reported no serious adverse reactions in these trials; this does not settle longer-term safety.

3. FDA. CJC-1295-related bulk drug substances: Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee briefing document, December 4, 2024. https://www.fda.gov/media/183819/download

Describes the distinct active moieties with and without DAC, naming inconsistencies, limited clinical evidence, regulatory evaluation and safety findings. Advisory materials are distinguished from final compounding rules. The film does not make a claim about a final compounding-list decision.

4. FDA. Certain Bulk Drug Substances for Use in Compounding that May Present Significant Safety Risks. https://www.fda.gov/drugs/human-drug-compounding/certain-bulk-drug-substances-use-compounding-may-present-significant-safety-risks

CJC-1295 entry identifies limited clinical data and serious adverse events associated with its use, including increased heart rate and systemic vasodilatory reaction. Association is not a finding of causation in an individual case.

## Production notes

- Approved narration: 1,898 characters; one Tom generation, 38 Runway credits. No paid Runway image or video generation and no narration regeneration.
- All ten content images are newly generated editorial artwork for this episode. Molecular illustrations are not experimentally solved CJC-1295/albumin structures; molecular sizes and circulation scenes are not to scale. The rotating model and docking animation are explanatory schematics, not simulation results.
- Laboratory scenes and people do not depict named investigators, actual trial participants or a documented ConjuChem interior. The Montreal skyline is an editorial establishing illustration.
- The pituitary and liver scenes illustrate the hormone pathway; they do not demonstrate a patient response or treatment outcome.
- The established WPF series title artwork is reused only for the opening and closing. Content artwork from earlier episodes is not reused.
- A full human listening/pronunciation review remains with the owner. Automated caption alignment and file validation do not constitute a listening review.
